Further, theta oscillations across frontoparietal electrodes were also modulated by proactive control demands, with increased theta phase synchrony and power for cues signaling the need for goal updating. Finally, we present novel evidence of negative associations between behavioral variability and both power and phase synchrony across many of these frontoparietal electrodes that were associated with the need for goal updating. In particular, greater consistency in frontoparietal theta oscillations, indicated by increased theta phase and power during mixed-task blocks, resulted in more consistent task-switching performance. Together, these findings provide new insight into the temporal dynamics and functional relevance of theta oscillations during proactive cognitive control.]]> Wed 04 Sep 2019 09:39:54 AEST ]]> Surprising sequential effects on MMN https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24086 Thu 24 Mar 2022 08:57:28 AEDT ]]> The influence of variability on mismatch negativity amplitude https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:47929 C deviants for adjacent and non-adjacent dependencies, was smaller for the latter, was impervious to variance in tone loudness, but showed prolonged sensitivity to the level of variability at sequence onset.]]> Thu 09 Feb 2023 12:48:54 AEDT ]]> Autonomic hyper-vigilance in post-infective fatigue syndrome https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:10148 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:07:28 AEDT ]]> Mismatch responses and deviance detection in N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor hypofunction and developmental models of schizophrenia https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29247 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:36:51 AEDT ]]> Criteria for determining whether mismatch responses exist in animal models: focus on rodents https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29233 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:36:47 AEDT ]]> Biased relevance filtering in the auditory system: a test of confidence-weighted first-impressions https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29357 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:34:16 AEDT ]]> The neurobiology of MMN and implications for schizophrenia https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24453 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:17:23 AEDT ]]> Is it time to move mismatch negativity into the clinic? https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24009 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:16:46 AEDT ]]> Stop-signal response inhibition in schizophrenia: behavioural, event-related potential and functional neuroimaging data https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:22566 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:14:47 AEDT ]]> Mismatch negativity (MMN) as biomarker predicting psychosis in clinically at-risk individuals https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24085 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:11:47 AEDT ]]> Deconstructing threat: rethinking the interplay between biological and social relevance in the emotional salience of unpleasant images https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:37260 Mon 24 May 2021 11:55:03 AEST ]]> The importance of precision to updating models of the sensory environment https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:33405 Fri 26 Oct 2018 16:06:12 AEDT ]]>
